“If you don’t lose it, you don’t have to catch it.”
It is common that we hear the phrase: “Use it or lose it.” This is not only true when thinking about the mind and body in general. But it is overwhelmingly important when we think about our capability to prevent falls, catch ourselves if we do fall, and to not break if we actually hit the ground. If we never lose our ability to balance ourselves, to quickly react and self rescue, or lose the strength and resilience of our bones, then we will never desperately desire those attributes. With consistent preventative drills and exercises for brain and body, we won’t ever need to regain what we have lost.
